How do I access iCAS from a Linux server?

The easiest way to access the iCAS server is sharing the virtual drive letter (iFSG) via CIFS. This allows using iFSG from other servers. iCAS is designed in an open manner, so you can communicate with it using any kind of programming language and operating system. This is ensured by using the W3C standard SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), also referred to as web service.
Your Linux application can implement the iCAS API and then communicate with the iCAS server, which runs on a Windows platform.
