Do I need a separate backup if I use iCAS?

iCAS secures data against manipulation and unauthorized access. But no system can offer protection against damage or destruction, therefore it is advisable to always have a current backup.

When using iFSG, we recommend to include the iFSG Base Directory in the backup strategy for a speedy recovery. This avoids a lengthy XML data restoration, which contain the mapping file. You can find more information about backup in our white papers, which we are happy to send out upon request.
